Semanux – A European brand

The Semanux brand has always stood for innovative solutions to break down barriers and enable independent access to digital life for all people. Our products Semanux Access and Semanux SDK are used daily by many people and companies to create accessibility and enable innovative products in the field of computer vision.

To underpin this commitment and continue our growth outside Germany, we are now taking a major step forward. The "Semanux" trademark is going European!

With a notification dated October 19, 2025, the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO), which is responsible for managing EU trademarks, registered Community designs, and EU geographical indications for craft and industrial products, confirmed to us that the Semanux trademark was successfully registered under number No 019152549 without opposition. It is thus protected against imitators and unauthorized use by competitors. The registration is valid in all countries of the European Union and available in 23 languages.

To safeguard our product and service portfolio, which has grown in recent years, the trademark now also applies to three new categories: 38 Telecommunication services, 41 Education, training and instruction, and 45 Licensing of software. The three previously valid categories – 9 Downloadable software, 10 Assistive devices adapted for people with disabilities, and 42 Development, programming and implementation of software – remain in place.

This step is important for us not only from a competitive perspective, but also underscores our commitment to establishing Semanux as a European brand for accessibility and innovative software.
