Topic: Event

In the 4C Accelerator, we have learned the basics about the challenges for a medical device in five months.

After five months, we successfully completed the first phase of the 4C Accelerator today. The 4C Accelerator enables startups to understand and tackle the high hurdles for products in the healthcare industry through knowledge transfer in the 4Cs - Commercialization, Certification, Clinical Studies, Copyright - and hands-on training.

We took part in the Accelerator together with seven other start-ups:

  • BesserEsser: The smart food and symptom diary for food intolerances.
  • EndoPAL-i: Plasma-activated water for medical applications.
  • I Care Technology: Intelligent bed for preterm babies.
  • Kiso Health: Digital support for psychosis and schizophrenia.
  • ReMore: Rehabilitation at home for people with arm paralysis after a stroke.
  • SensiVR Health: Psychoeducation and sensory therapy for children aged 7 to 12.
  • UniWearables: Cloud patient data systems and IOT hardware.

We were particularly delighted with the exchange between the start-ups and were able to share our common challenges and provide further support in the future. We are already looking forward to the second phase of the 4C Accelerator, in which we will prepare the certification of a medical device together with a coach.
