Florian was invited to present Semanux Access to a specialist audience at the care consultancy of the Siemens company health insurance fund in Munich.

Florian with the audience at SBK.

The Siemens-Betriebskrankenkasse (SBK), based in Munich, is the largest company health insurance fund in Germany and can look back on a history of more than 100 years. Today it looks after more than 1 million insured persons. SBK is an important driving force in the health policy dialogue and is committed to quality, transparency and digitalization in the healthcare sector, among other things. As a nationwide company health insurance fund, it is also available to employees outside Siemens.

The aim of the SBK care advice service is to provide the best possible support for the independence and quality of life of people with disabilities, chronic illnesses or old age. The care advisors develop a holistic concept to bring together physical care, psychosocial support, nutrition & hygiene and environmental design. Particular attention is paid to support in the workplace so that the person can continue to work. Semanux Access can be a suitable solution here. Semanux Access enables people with motor difficulties to operate the computer independently - through head control, facial expression recognition and the use of external hardware.

The presentation first went into the history and development of Semanux and showed how it works live. The audience was then able to try out the software for themselves on several demo devices. The reactions of the participants were extremely positive, as they were able to understand the possibilities of Semanux Access for supporting people in their daily work.

We were impressed by the commitment and openness of the audience to new technologies in care and look forward to further cooperation with the SBK!
