What is Semanux Access and who is it for?
Semanux Access is a software that allows you to operate your computer without mouse & keyboard. Several alternative input options are available for this purpose. The most important are:
- Via your webcam can be detected when you move your head. You can imagine it like this: if you turn your head to the left, it means that you move the active spot on the screen to the left. Similarly, if you turn your head to the right, up or down. And with Semanux Access, this is enough to operate your entire computer.
- In addition to head movements, there are other input options available: you can set Semanux Access to recognize your facial expressions via your webcam – that is whether you have opened your mouth, squinted your eyes and so on. Then, for example, you can click by opening your mouth at the currently active spot on the screen.
- Alternatively, you can also use physical input devices like buttons, pedals, controllers or joysticks to operate. Either in combination with the recognition of your head movements or without, as you like it. For example, you can use either head movements or a joystick to move the active spot on the screen and then use a pedal to click there.
- For writing texts you can show a virtual keyboard on the screen. Here you can determine, for example, with head movements, which letters should be typed.
This allows you to operate the computer as if you were using a mouse and keyboard. This also means that with Semanux Access you can operate programs on your computer – even those that were actually only developed for mouse and keyboard.
Semanux Access is thus aimed at all those who do not want to or cannot operate their computer with mouse and keyboard. For work, school or leisure!
There are 3 different editions of Semanux Access:
- Semanux Access Free is the free edition of Semanux Access that lets you try out the main features to see if Semanux Access is right for you.
- Semanux Access Flex is the subscription edition of Semanux Access that gives you full functionality. An active subscription is required to use it.
- Semanux Access Pro offers the same full functionality as the Flex edition and is distributed through our reseller network. A one-time entry of an activation code is required for use.
Partially this guide differs depending on which edition of Semanux Access you are using. The corresponding places are marked separately in the text.

- Depending on which input options are to be used, additional input devices such as webcam or microphone (both already integrated in many laptops), button, pedal, controller or joystick are required.
