Automatic Click

The automatic click function generates clicks at regular intervals at the position of the trace. Triggering automatic clicks can be used in communication programs like Grid 3 to write sentences or hold conversations.

You can find the settings for automatic click under Type of Settings: All > Interaction > Automatic Click.

Settings window for automatic click

The checkbox under Enable Automatic Click must be checked. When the function is enabled, a left-click is automatically performed at the trace position at certain intervals - without you having to trigger a left-click separately each time.

You can select the interval between two clicks by either clicking one of the values provided on the left or typing your own value in the Value input field on the right. The interval is measured in milliseconds, i.e., one second equals 1000 ms.

Automatic click in action

Automatic clicking can be limited so that clicks are only performed when the trace does not move. This can be useful to prevent false triggers of the click. To do this, select one of the options Low, Medium, or High under Motion tolerance to reset the interval of the automatic click. This means that the automatic click will continue to be triggered even with slight, moderate, or strong movement of the trace. If the default values are not sufficient for you, you can specify your own value in the Value field. This is measured in pixels per second (px/s), i.e., if the trace fluctuates by less than the set value in px/s, the automatic click will continue to be performed.
