Version
You can find the settings for the version under Type of Settings: All > Advanced > Version.
In this tab, you can check which version of Semanux Access is currently installed on your computer. The version information is given in the top line.
If you check the box Automatically check for new versions of Semanux Access, Semanux Access will automatically check for new available versions each time the program starts. An internet connection is required for this. You can also manually initiate this search process by clicking the Check for updates now button. If you do not want to receive or install updates, then uncheck the box, and you will no longer be notified of new versions. You can still return to this tab to manually check for updates.
If a new version is available, it will be automatically downloaded in the background. You can then click Install now to install the latest version of Semanux Access.
If you already have the current version of Semanux installed, an update will not be offered. You will then read the sentence You are already using the latest version of Semanux Access.
New versions may contain bug fixes and new features, but other features may also be removed. Therefore, please check the information on our website or ask your dealer before installing a new version if you obtained Semanux Access through them.
The second to last line indicates whether you are using a version of Semanux Access with administrative rights or without administrative rights.
Lastly, it is indicated which folder the settings and temporary helper files of Semanux Access are stored in on a computer.
Frequent questions
Under Settings: Version you can see the current version that you have installed.
With the button Check now for an update you can check if there is a new version and install it.
You can also activate the option Automatically search for new versions of Semanux Access. Semanux Access will then check for a new version every time the program is started and install it automatically.
Alternatively, you can always download the latest installation file from our download page and run it. You do not have to remove the old version. All your settings are automatically transferred to the new version.
